Gratitude looks like…

Posted in brisbane, health, life tagged , , at 6:18 pm by Margi Macdonald

The other day a patient surprised me with these stunning flowers; her way of thanking me for my help.

Such a generous, completely unexpected gift reminded me that giving and receiving are the yin and yang of open heartedness.

I’m thankful for the bright beauty of this gift, and for the privilege of doing this work.

What does gratitude feel like to you?

How do you express gratitude?

Are you able to give and receive in equal measure?

Internationally, the Extreme Poverty Line is defined as the equivalent of $2 a day. 1.4 billion people currently live below this line, that is 1.4 billion people who do not have the basic choices and opportunities that most Australians take for granted.  Imagine just eating below the poverty line for one week – Rachel Hills did.

Visit Live Below the Line and consider that many of us in the First World are malnourished despite being overfed, overindulged, and over-resourced.

What does this mean to you?
