Please note acupuncture – a primary health care treatment, like going to the doctor – is GST free.

Massage, Reiki, Flower Essence Readings and all take-home therapeutic remedies and goods incur GST

What the fees cover at each visit:

Consultation and treatment

All equipment, disposables, and therapeutic substances used during the treatment in the clinic, including surgical-grade, fine, single use acupuncture needles

One-on-one, individualised attention, with NO double-booking of patients

Fresh linen between patients

Information sheets such as diet or lifestyle recommendations, if necessary, according to your condition – emailed after your visit

Telephone or email back-up for the current condition being treated

Occasional reviews of latest research and literature relevant to your condition – especially if your needs are complex, or you have a serious health problem

Fee structure is reviewed annually

Blissful Rewards

A half hour neck, shoulder and upper back massage is offered FREE of charge after every eight treatments in the clinic

Acupuncture

Initial visit 1.5 hours $90

Standard follow-up 45-60mins $70

Short follow-up 30 mins $55

2nd & subsequent follow-ups in a 7 day period    $40

Concessional fee -15% off acupuncture treatments- available to seniors, students & health care card holders

Massage & Reiki

1 hour         $77

45 min        $66

30 min        $55

Time includes consultation and preparation for your therapeutic massage or Reiki

Flower Essence Reading

45 minutes, with take-home Findhorn Flower Essence remedy and small booklet/journal included    $88

Practitioner only Chinese Herbal Medicines

Black Pearl brand pills   $13-$17 per bottle   5-7 day supply, according to dose

ChinaMed capsules       $31-$39 per bottle  7-14 day supply, according to dose

Moxa sticks $10 per box

Prices for take-home goods may change without notice

Herbal medicines are from an Australian company and contain no animal products or endangered species, and meet TGA requirements

Capsule cases are gelatin. Contents of capsules are safe to ingest without capsule if necessary. Instructions provided.

Courtesy, Cancellations and no-shows.

Please be aware that late cancellations – ie less than 24 hours notice – are very damaging to the personal livelihood of natural medicine practitioners,  and the sustainability of small, dedicated businesses such as this.

We understand that unexpected and urgent matters may affect your ability to keep an appointment. If this happens, we simply reschedule that appointment at the next most convenient time.

Unfortunately, we live in an era where habitual last-minute cancellations and requests to reschedule are becoming more common.

From 9th January 2012 onwards, enjoying this flexibility in your appointment schedule will incur the following fees:

Private health insurance rebates

Margi Macdonald is a recognised acupuncture provider. Rebates are available for acupuncture upon presentation of your official receipt to your health insurer. Please check your health insurance policy before your first visit to ensure you have cover for acupuncture.
